Between SOLDEN and LEVI!

Our tour has began! … And It is realy good start for us!
4th place in Solden proves that I am still touching the top in giant slalom. And other girls also
did not ski so well that thay could not be beaten as the season progresses. The thing that I need
most right now is to focus.

I had a great support this time in Solden. Not only from my faithfull fans from my home town, but
also from my parents and close relatives, that came to cheer for me. They were here for the first
time and they were thrilled overthe spectacular scenery and landscape which Solden has to offer.

I spent a few short days at home after the race. I managed to find some time just for myself,
enjoyng my daily cup of hot latte in my favorite bar »Urska« and attending phisycal trainings in
my beautifull home town.
… But time flyes when you are having fun and too soon I had to prepapre for another long journey.
This time our first stop was the ski resort Turachehohe and from there on the road led us to the
north of Germany – to ski hall Wittenburg.
The hall lies north of Hamburg and it was a pleasant surprise for me, although I was never realy
keen about enclosed ski resorts for trainings. You can not realy practice anything but slalom on
this track, but i feel it was a good thing for my preparation. The conditions in such resorts are
always great and consistent, so you do not have to tremble what mother nature has in store.

… Now we are in Levi, Finland.
I was always impressed by their name – LEVI ( »left« in Slovenian language ), Maybe because I then
get so many thougts about »right«. And the It makes me wonder – what If people were only skiing
left turns back in the old days :)   … but that is just my imagination talking and that is
something that does not exist in the »real world« of professional skiing.

At the moment all my focus is on a skiing discipline for which I have special feelings, because
I was never realy able to master it to my maximum, although that was always my great expectation,
so I have put a lot of effort in it in this years preparations. I was also more patient towards it
compared to previous seasons, so maybe I can count on even better results this season.

This discipline is called SLALOM! …
My father compares it with Rock n Roll, with which I agree completely. It demands extremly
rapid moves and great agility. When I think of slalom, one name comes to my mind, and that is
Vreni Schneider, who used to »fight« with the track like there was no tomorrow, and that is
the attitude that I like the most. I hope such energy will also by my driving force this season,
and if all of my wishes come true, the results will go to the top as well! …

Dear friends!  That is all for now …

Keep on tracking my »SNOW BATTLE« with fingers crossed, and my WEBSITE for further
INFO, IMAGES and BLOG as the season progresses.

THANK YOU!
Love and kisses!
TINA :)
