United states …

Greetings from Colorado!
I wanted to write some encouraging words After Levi, but nothing positive realy happened
other than a good result on the track.
We had a real thriller with or luggage. It took almost five days for six pieces to arrive
and when it finally did, it was completely shatered and destroyed.
As if all this wasn`t enough, I got sick on the first day that I was supossed to start
with my trainings, so I`ve missed a few precious days right at the beginning. That was
the reason that I waited with my writing for a while, because I didn`t wan`t to leave a
bad impression after a good start in slalom this season. I was realy happy about the 12th.
position.
I am particularly proud about the steep part of the track, which I found extremely tough
in Levi a few years ago, but this year I`ve managed it without a glitch. I kept my rhythm
until the end and was still able to add trough the race. This means a lot to me, because
I know that that`s the only way to realy stand a chance against the best girls in slalom.
Among all other things I am realy honored to be nominated for the title:
“SLOVENIAN WOMAN OF THE YEAR”, which is organized every year by Jana magazine.
Altough thecompetition is realy fierces, I`m a fighter by nature, so I am going for victory
here as well. The only problem is that in this case winning doesn`t depend on me as in skiing.
This time it depends on you, so don`t hesitate and vote for me. Ha ha!
To me, the fact
that I was nominated for such respected competition clearly shows that people apreciate my
work and effort that I am giving in skiing and I apreciate it a lot also.
We are now in the second stage of the long tour.
Only a few days still separates us from races in Aspen. My biggest wish is, to get totally
well with my, still fragile health and having enough strenght for a good technical weekend.
Dear friends!
That`s all at this time! …
Keep on track in I will talk to you soon!
Sincerely yours!

Between SOLDEN and LEVI!
November 16th, 2009 Posted 11:10
Our tour has began! … And It is realy good start for us!
4th place in Solden proves that I am still touching the top in giant slalom. And other girls also
did not ski so well that thay could not be beaten as the season progresses. The thing that I need
most right now is to focus.
I had a great support this time in Solden. Not only from my faithfull fans from my home town, but
also from my parents and close relatives, that came to cheer for me. They were here for the first
time and they were thrilled overthe spectacular scenery and landscape which Solden has to offer.
I spent a few short days at home after the race. I managed to find some time just for myself,
enjoyng my daily cup of hot latte in my favorite bar »Urska« and attending phisycal trainings in
my beautifull home town.
… But time flyes when you are having fun and too soon I had to prepapre for another long journey.
This time our first stop was the ski resort Turachehohe and from there on the road led us to the
north of Germany – to ski hall Wittenburg.
The hall lies north of Hamburg and it was a pleasant surprise for me, although I was never realy
keen about enclosed ski resorts for trainings. You can not realy practice anything but slalom on
this track, but i feel it was a good thing for my preparation. The conditions in such resorts are
always great and consistent, so you do not have to tremble what mother nature has in store.
… Now we are in Levi, Finland.
I was always impressed by their name – LEVI ( »left« in Slovenian language ), Maybe because I then
get so many thougts about »right«. And the It makes me wonder – what If people were only skiing
left turns back in the old days
… but that is just my imagination talking and that is
something that does not exist in the »real world« of professional skiing.
At the moment all my focus is on a skiing discipline for which I have special feelings, because
I was never realy able to master it to my maximum, although that was always my great expectation,
so I have put a lot of effort in it in this years preparations. I was also more patient towards it
compared to previous seasons, so maybe I can count on even better results this season.
This discipline is called SLALOM! …
My father compares it with Rock n Roll, with which I agree completely. It demands extremly
rapid moves and great agility. When I think of slalom, one name comes to my mind, and that is
Vreni Schneider, who used to »fight« with the track like there was no tomorrow, and that is
the attitude that I like the most. I hope such energy will also by my driving force this season,
and if all of my wishes come true, the results will go to the top as well! …
Dear friends! That is all for now …
Keep on tracking my »SNOW BATTLE« with fingers crossed, and my WEBSITE for further
INFO, IMAGES and BLOG as the season progresses.
THANK YOU!
Love and kisses!
